    I would like to start and maintain this thread to compile the community knowledge about various game details. Please submit answers if you know them or suggest additional items you think should be added:

    not sure about time based levels.

    Special Level Blocks/Obstacles
    Name How to Remove/Activate Special Effects/Notes
    Block - basic wood any match next to block or explosion reaching the block will break the block. Reinforced blocks (shown with additional diagonal pieces) require multiple 'hits'. 1 diagonal piece +1 or total of 2 hits; 2 diagonal pieces (make 'X') +2 or 3 total hits. do not 'fall'
    gopher will 'hit'/break box
    Block - color same as basic block above except matches must be of same color as block. explosions still work. do not 'fall'
    gopher will 'hit'/break box
    Coconut any match next to block or explosion will remove coconut do 'fall'/drop
    Rocks Large round Black rocks require explosion to break into Black and Red 'cracked' rocks. 'Cracked' rocks removed on any match next to or explosion. do not 'fall'
    gopher will 'hit'/remove cracked rocks but blocked by black rocks
    Chests require explosion to open. Might give power-up or coin (blue bag on left)
    Mushroom Patch any match next to or explosion reaching the patch will grow mushrooms. growth goes small, med, large then throws mushrooms out onto the playing field do not 'fall'
    note: mushrooms will not land on and remove 'power-up' or other mushrooms. consider leaving them on the board if you hope to have them fall elsewhere.
    Bubbles these bubbles have either a number (e.g. 1 or 2 or 3, etc..) or a time (0:10 or 0:30 or etc...) and when popped give you additional turns or time (respectively). Seeing these bubbles with time is 1 of the ways I know the level is a TIMED level instead of a TURN based level. I know its on the left but I never look there.
    Balloons Appear from a bottom edge and float up each turn. Popped by used in a same color match or in an explosion. Will disappear off screen when they reach an end. note it appears a limit or likelihood of having new balloons is based on existing balloons so the earlier/faster you pop 1 the quicker you get another (but no guarantees)
    Squid similar to Balloons where they appear and move until they reach an end and leave the screen BUT start at whirlpool generator and can move in any direction and at different speeds. Also removed using in a matching colored set or by explosions.
    Crabs crabs starts as mounds of dirt with eyes. you must make match adjacent to make crab come out of dirt pile (bomb explosions will not affect dirt pile). Color of the crab will be the color match you made next to dirt pile. Remove crab by making color match next to crab or with explosion. cloud removal of a color WILL remove crabs of that color
    Nests Make same color match next to nest or explode nest to release 3 chickens gopher will activate
    gives +1 CP (cloud point)
    Rockets Use in a match or explosion will active. Will shoot the entire row or column (depending on which way it is facing) Can combine with other power-ups (see above table)
    can be moved without activation (i.e. move it to make a different match)
    gives +2 CP (cloud point)
    Fish make matches of corresponding color to fill up fish then it destroys all in its path (look for arrows). Amount to fill is level dependent. unlike most it is not just a 'hit' on each, it fully destroys all objects (e.g. reinforced crates, double ropes, etc...)
    Gobbler make matches of corresponding color to fill up fish then it 'hits' entire board. Amount to fill is level dependent.
    Ropes Ropes protect/lock tiles. Make a match with tile under the rope or explosion to remove 1 rope (there may be 2 ropes on same tile)
    Vines
    Leaf covering Green leaves may cover and hide and protect tiles or other things. each match on or explosion will remove leaves (fully covered -> partly covered -> not covered)
    Grass (with little flowers) At least 1 of the made 'set' must be over Grass to spread Grass
    Power-Ups spread if they start or moved to Grass square, but NOT if only the explosion reaches the Grass
    Chain / secondary power-up explosions follow same rule (i.e. just because original explosion started on grass doesn't mean secondary explosion will spread grass also)
    Water (High Tide) Anything under the water is completely 'locked out'. Explosions do not reach them. At the end of level bombs under water do not earn gold. etc...
